For Photoshop 7.0

You've transferred your brush into the Brush menu by defining it.

In order not to lose this brush by accident, Photoshop closing without warning, or to make it available for your friends to download, you need to save it.

To do this this click (Edit>Preset Manager... ).

The Preset manager will show you all the brushes that have been loaded into your Brush menu. You can delete and save the brushes you created from there.

By pressing and holding down shift on your keyboard you can click on more than just one brush.

If you want to save just one brush, click on only one.

If you want to save the brushes in a Brush Set, activate more than one. To save the Brush or Brushset, just press Save Set to the right.

You will see, that the Programm automatically saves the brushes as an .abr file.

You can also use the Preset Manager as a quicker way to manage, delete and sort your brushes.

ATTENTION!
Be careful not to RESET BRUSHES in the brush menu palette. Once you do that, if you have not saved the Brush(es) you created as an .abr file, the brush(es) will be gone.

The same will happen if you choose one of the Brush sets in the same list. they can be found under the Reset Brushes button.
